The story that drew national attention

Tragic to Magic follows three mothers — Amber, Amy, and Sarah — whose sons, Jagger, McKellar, and Elijah, died by overdose, suicide, and unsolved murder.

Their stories unfold against a national crisis of youth mortality — and reveal a different kind of survival: connection beyond the veil.

Through raw diaries, expert insights, and unexplainable signs, the film explores how grief can awaken extraordinary gifts — and how love, even after death, continues to heal.

This proof-of-concept teaser was created from early conversations to show the heart of the film.

Three young lives that changed everything.

ELIJAH STEWART

Elijah was the best friend to many, modest and gentle of heart. His radiance shown through as he was always smiling and laughing. Our gentle giant.

JAGGER DIEM

A helper, a lover of animals, the baby whisperer - Jagger brought love and laughter to every situation. He has made his presence known since the day he passed - with his unique Jagger swagger.

MCKELLAR COX

McKellar loved without limitations. He stood up for what he believed in and not what was popular, always protecting the “underdog.” Because he knew what it was like to suffer with his own mental health, he readily held space for others who were suffering.

During the making of the film, we began hearing shared themes across many stories.
Signs 101 emerged from listening.
